Safe Guarding

In our Pre-school/Nursery we aim to create a safe place where children

are protected from any kind of abuse. Abuse within the setting will be dealt with promptly and we assure you that we will respond appropriately.

Any suspicion of abuse that has occurred on the premises will result in the Manager contacting LADO if it is a regular occurrence or a child is thought to be seriously at risk. We adhere to the Herts County Council Area Child Protection Committee procedures.

Any student placements or volunteers (including parents) will not be left solely in charge of any child/group of children.

Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Our setting welcomes children and families with Special Educational needs. We believe all children should have the opportunity to learn and progress in all areas of development.

To ensure this, a member of staff is qualified as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) who, along with staff and possibly other professionals deals with all aspects of care and education as well as advice for children and families with special needs.

Unfortunately in order to comply with Fire and Safety regulations we are unable to accommodate children/adults who use a wheelchair as we are NOT situated on ground level. Access to the Pre-school is via two set of stairs.
